missed that chance to say my last goodbye,
I wanted to tell you how proud I was...
to have you as my Father,
even though I never realized it growing up.
Have I told you how smart you were?
Now I will never have the opportunity again,
to say how much I love you.
I wish I could have that chance,
but I am grateful to have had the benefit
of YOU as my Father.

We were the love of his life, his joy in each day and the source of his button-busting pride. We are fortunate to have his love and encouragement. As Dad would often say, "I am AWFUL-Ly....proud of you!"
